Each protection plan varies, depending on the nature of the equipment covered, and can provide extended coverage for as much as nine years beyond the manufacturer's original warranty.
Many plans have little or no deductible, and can provide superior coverage even for previously owned equipment and vehicles.

Outdoor Power Equipment Coverage
New Equipment
Coverage is available on any brand of new equipment provided there is a minimum 1 year warranty from the manufacturer.
There is up to 3 years of additional coverage available. The total coverage cannot exceed 7 years from the date of purchase. For example: a unit that has a three year warranty from the manufacturer would qualify for a maximum of 3 years of additional coverage under this policy.
This policy can only be sold at the time the unit is purchased and a bill of sale must accompany each policy remitted.
Each Outdoor Power Equipment policy will have a $0 deductible
Coverage is available for normal residential use only. There will be no coverage and the policy will be void if it is discovered that the equipment is being used commercially as determined by IWS.

New Products
Coverage is for mechanical equipment service and covers mechanical and electrical components for any new equipment in proper working condition
Warranty must be purchased within 10 months from the date of installation
Up to 4 years of additional coverage available, to a maximum of 5 years total coverage from date of purchase. For example: a manufacturer's warranty that provides 1-3 years parts coverage and 1 year labour coverage may be elligible for years 4 & 5 parts coverage, and years 2-5 labour coverage.
